NSCA Honors Turley
The National Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association has named Shannon Turley its college coach of the year. Turley is in his seventh season as the Director of Sports Performance for Football at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA.
The NSCA has recognized a coach of the year for thirty-four years for “improving the performance of athletes with safe and effective science based programs.”
Since Turley joined the Cardinal program, Stanford has seen an 87% decline in games missed due to injury by its football players. In 2006 Stanford suffered 26 injuries that required season-ending or post-season surgery compared to a total of 24 during the last five years combined.
Turley was applauded by the Cardinal football team when his recognition was announced at practice.
Keiser congratulates Shannon Turley and is proud that he, Stanford Director of Sports Performance Brandon Marcelo and the entire team of sports performance specialists at the University make Keiser pneumatic resistance equipment a part of their outstanding program.
